Sipradi Yatri has confirmed Nepal pricing for the Yatri P2 electric scooter, with three battery options and deliveries starting later this year. The configurator is now live, allowing buyers to customize their scooters.
Variants and prices
The Yatri P2 will be sold in three battery trims:
- 3 kWh P2: Rs 3.29 lakh (Rs 3,29,900 ex-showroom)
- 3.7 kWh P2: Rs 3.99 lakh (Rs 3,99,900 ex-showroom)
- 5.2 kWh P2: Rs 4.99 lakh (Rs 4,99,900 ex-showroom)
Bookings opened at the NADA Auto Show held last month. Deliveries for the 3.7 kWh and 5.2 kWh variants start between mid-October and November, while the entry 3 kWh variant will reach showrooms from December, when all three will be on sale together. Deliveries start in Dashain.
Customization and Connectivity
Yatri has built the P2 as a base vehicle with a list of paid options, similar to Tesla and Ather. The Standard Connectivity is a Rs 19,200 add-on for the 3.0 kWh pack, while the 5.2 kWh includes Advanced Connectivity.
Made in Nepal, for Nepali roads
Yatri says the P2 has been designed, researched and built entirely in Nepal. It has been developed with Nepal’s mixed road conditions and terrain in mind. The scooter's gradeability is 21 degrees, higher than the average 10-15 degrees of other electric scooters, making it suitable for hilly and challenging terrains.
A mid-drive PMSM motor powers the scooter, with outputs of 6 kW, 8 kW, and 10 kW depending on the pack. The top speed is 90 km/h. Yatri had previously faced issues with number plate registration, which have now been resolved.
Battery, range and charging
The three battery packs offer different claimed ranges on a single charge:
- 5.2 kWh battery: 157 km claimed range
- 3.7 kWh battery: 112 km claimed range
- 3 kWh battery: 90 km claimed range
There is also an optional 1.8 kWh range-extender pack that adds 50 km of extra range on any variant.
Yatri says the P2 is the first scooter in its segment with DC fast charging. A 3.3 kW DC fast charger can take the battery from 0 to 80 percent in 41 minutes. Using the home charger, the P2 reaches 80 percent in about 2 hours 50 minutes, compared with the 4–7 hours many other scooters need for a full charge.
Features and hardware
The scooter uses a 7-inch TFT display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. The battery management system that powers the smart display and real-time energy meter is certified by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).
Key chassis numbers include a 1,390 mm wheelbase for stability and legroom, 14-inch alloy wheels and 175 mm ground clearance to cope better with broken roads and speed bumps. The chassis is a dual-cradle trellis frame with a kerb weight of 140 kg, seat height of 775 mm, and boot space of 30 litres.

Customers can customize battery size, charging capacity, app features and color to match their use. Battery warranty is 5 years or 50,000 km, with extensions available. Yatri offers six finishes named after Nepali geography, such as Mustang Desert, Everest Snow, Sauraha Mist, Annapurna Storm, Chure Thunder, and Kalapatthar Midnight.
Yatri has produced two motorcycle models, P0 and P1, before the P2 scooter. For Nepali scooter shoppers looking at an electric option this Dashain, the Yatri P2’s made-in-Nepal build, strong motor and fast-charging support make it one of the more serious new EV contenders in the market.
