Nepal’s two major auto shows in August and September are shaping up to be busy for two-wheeler buyers, with over a dozen new motorcycles and scooters expected to debut. The NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo starts on August 11, while the NADA Auto Show begins on August 25.
What buyers can expect
According to the latest announcements and distributor plans, the most talked-about arrivals include Yatri P2, Hero VIDA VX2 Go, Hero VIDA VX2 Plus, TVS RTX 300, Yamaha XSR155, Ultraviolette X47, Moto Morini Alltrhike 250, and Bajaj Chetak 2501 and Chetak 3503. New entries such as Morbidelli’s budget adventure motorcycle, CFMoto 450 MT 2026 version, Hero Xpulse 210, River Indie, and models from Ather, Royal Enfield, Triumph, KTM, and Yadea are also expected. Some brands have not yet shared full launch details, so more models may still be added.
Key models to watch
- Yatri P2: This is expected to be the biggest headline at NAIMA because it is the first electric scooter designed and built in Nepal. It has been developed by Yatri Motorcycles in partnership with Sipradi Trading.
- Hero VIDA VX2 Go and VX2 Plus: CG Motors has introduced Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand, VIDA, in Nepal, marking its global debut. The VX2 Go is priced at Rs 2,99,900 and comes with a removable 2.2 kWh battery, offering a real-world riding range of 75 km and a top speed of 70 km/h. The VX2 Plus, priced at Rs 3,99,900, features dual removable 2.2 kWh battery packs with a combined capacity of 4.4 kWh, delivering a claimed 140 km real-world range and a top speed of 90 km/h.
- Hero VIDA Dirt-E K3: This electric bike is designed for children aged 4 to 10 years and features an adjustable chassis for different sizes. It is powered by a 500 W electric motor and a 360 Wh removable lithium-ion battery, offering Low, Medium, and High riding modes.
- TVS RTX 300: Jagdamba Motors has unveiled TVS Motor’s first adventure touring motorcycle, the RTX 300, at the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026 in Kathmandu. This model is based on the new-generation RT-XD4 platform and features a 299.1 cc single-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled engine that generates 35 PS of power and 28.5 Nm of torque. It includes a 6-speed gearbox, quickshifter, and slip and assist clutch, making it highly effective on challenging roads. The bike also boasts a semi-faired adventure design, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, and advanced features like a 5-inch TFT instrument console, smartphone connectivity, navigation mirroring, cruise control, traction control, and terrain adaptive dual-channel ABS.
- Yamaha XSR155: MAW Rides has officially opened pre-bookings for the XSR 155 motorcycle in Nepal, ahead of its market launch. Customers can reserve the bike with a Rs. 5,000 booking amount through Yamaha showrooms or online. The XSR 155 will be available in four variants: BMC, VRC 1, WMC, and SMX, with prices starting at Rs. 529,900 for the BMC variant. The motorcycle is expected to make its Nepal debut at the NADA Auto Show. It features a 155 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), producing 18.4 PS of power and 14.2 Nm of torque.
- Ultraviolette X47: Vaidya’s Organization is set to launch Ultraviolette’s premium electric motorcycle at the expo.
- Moto Morini Alltrhike 250: This new 250 cc adventure motorcycle is also expected from the same distributor.
- Bajaj Chetak 2501 and 3503: Hansraj Hulaschand & Co. is expected to widen the Chetak range beyond the currently sold Chetak 3501.

The addition of the VIDA VX2 Go and VX2 Plus and the Dirt-E K3 further diversifies the electric offerings, catering to both adults and young riders. Meanwhile, the Yamaha XSR155 offers a retro-inspired motorcycle with contemporary performance, appealing to those looking for a stylish yet modern ride. The introduction of new models from Morbidelli, CFMoto, and other brands adds further excitement to the upcoming shows.
