BYD has launched the updated Atto 3 in Nepal, now available in Advanced and Superior trims, priced at Rs 61.99 lakh and Rs 67.80 lakh respectively. The 2026 Atto 3 was also showcased at the NADA Auto Show 2026 with an introductory price of NPR 62.90 Lakhs.
Within BYD’s Nepal lineup, the Atto 3 sits above the Atto 2 EV, priced at Rs 48.99 lakh, and the M6, priced between Rs 55 lakh–Rs 58.90 lakh, but below the Sealion 7, which was launched at a price of NPR 92.99 Lakhs. The Sealion 7, a premium electric SUV, was introduced at the NADA Auto Show 2026. The Atto 3 is also placed above the Dolphin, priced between Rs 41.15 lakh–Rs 48.99 lakh, and the Atto 1, priced between Rs 29.75 lakh–Rs 33.80 lakh. The Atto 1 received a feature update, including a new 360° camera system.

The 2026 Atto 3 continues on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 and maintains its familiar dimensions: 4,455 mm long, 1,875 mm wide, 1,615 mm tall, with a 2,720 mm wheelbase and 175 mm ground clearance. Boot space is 434 litres, expanding to 1,340 litres with the rear seats folded.

Inside, updates include ventilated front seats, automatic rain-sensing wipers, adjustable headrests, and revised gear-shift controls inspired by the BYD Atto 2. The cabin also retains a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats, and wireless smartphone charging.
Power is delivered by a front-wheel-drive electric setup with a 100 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor and 310 Nm of torque. BYD claims both variants can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in 10.1 seconds.
The launch adds another option for Nepali EV buyers seeking a compact electric SUV with a more premium feature list than the brand’s lower-priced models. Additionally, the BYD Atto 2 Superior Variant was announced with a price of NPR 51.99 Lakhs, featuring a panoramic glass roof and upgraded technology.

These reveals were part of the 'BYD Grand Auto Fest 2026', which offers customers benefits such as a 10-year extended warranty, complimentary insurance, and a choice between cash benefits or a 3-year AMC package. The event highlights BYD's commitment to expanding its presence in the Nepali market with a diverse range of electric vehicles.

1 updateNADA Auto Show 2026 sees strong EV and hybrid focus
The NADA Auto Show 2026, held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, is drawing significant attention as it enters its final day. The event, which began on Tuesday and concludes on Sunday, features 53 vehicle brands and over 200 stalls displaying a wide range of vehicles and automotive products. Despite a drop in visitors due to floods in the Bhotekoshi area on Wednesday, attendance has rebounded, with strong interest in both electric and hybrid vehicles. Notable entries include the locally developed Yatri P2 electric scooter and new models from Deepal, Dongfeng, and BYD. Attractive discounts and festive offers are further boosting buyer interest.

A logged change may be a distributor's revision or our own correction coming into line with the official figure — the log says which way each one moved, and when, not why.
