Tata Motors has officially reached a major sales milestone in Nepal, with its total electric vehicle (EV) count surpassing 10,000 units. Sipradi Trading, the authorized distributor for the brand, recorded 10,824 total EV sales between July 2021 and September 15, 2026. This achievement makes Tata the second automotive brand in the country to cross the 10,000-unit mark for electric vehicles.
Sipradi currently offers a diverse lineup of electric models in Nepal. The Tata Tigor EV leads the brand's sales with 3,245 units, followed by the Tata Nexon EV with 3,091 units. The Tata Tiago EV has recorded 2,822 units, while the Tata Punch EV has reached 1,552 units. The Tata Curvv EV has seen 112 units imported to date. Two units of the Tata Sierra EV were brought to the country for display purposes.
Regarding the current pricing for these models in Nepal:
- Tata Curvv EV: The Empowered +A 55 variant is priced at Rs 58.99 lakh.
- Tata Nexon EV: The CREATIVE 45 trim is Rs 44.99 lakh, and the Empowered+ 45 trim is Rs 50.99 lakh.
- Tata Punch EV: The Smart +32 is Rs 33.99 lakh, the Empowered 40 is Rs 37.99 lakh, and the Empowered+ S 40 is Rs 38.99 lakh. The 2026 40 kWh trim is also available, though its price is not confirmed.
- Tata Tiago EV: The LR XT is Rs 27.49 lakh, the Pure +24 is Rs 28.99 lakh, and both the Creative +24 and LR XZ+ Tech Lux are Rs 29.99 lakh.
Tata entered the local EV market in 2021 with the Nexon EV. Since 2023, the company has maintained a consistent sales volume of over 2,000 electric vehicles annually. The brand's established service network and the expansion of charging infrastructure across the country have supported this growth despite increased competition from other manufacturers.
