Yamaha has expanded its R15 V4 line-up by offering a quickshifter on two more colour options in the Indian market. The Racing Blue and Matte Pearl White variants now get this feature, which was earlier limited to the higher-spec R15M.
In India, the quickshifter-equipped Racing Blue and Matte Pearl White R15 V4 are priced at about Rs 1.79 lakh ex-showroom, roughly Rs 4,650 higher than their non-quickshifter equivalents. That extra cost is only for the added hardware; the engine and core mechanicals remain unchanged.
The R15 V4 continues with a 155 cc single-cylinder engine, producing around 18.1 bhp and 14.2 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. With the quickshifter fitted, riders can upshift without using the clutch, so gear changes feel faster and smoother, especially during hard acceleration.
These updates are currently confirmed for India only. Nepal pricing and availability of the new quickshifter variants have not been announced, so buyers here should treat this as an early look at what could come next rather than a live showroom update.
