Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Stellantis have signed a definitive agreement to expand their two-decade partnership. The deal allows Stellantis to use Tata Motors' advanced vehicle architecture and product technology to develop new models for more than 50 international markets.
Production will take place at the Fiat India Automobiles Private Limited (FIAPL) facility in Ranjangaon, Pune. This plant is a 50:50 joint venture between the two companies. The site currently manufactures several models, including the Jeep Compass, Jeep Meridian, Tata Nexon, Tata Altroz, and Tata Curvv.

Both companies aim to integrate their engineering and manufacturing strengths to establish India as a key hub in the global automotive supply chain. While the agreement is confirmed, the companies have not yet announced specific model names, production timelines, or investment figures.

This collaboration builds upon a memorandum of understanding signed in February 2026. It marks a significant step in deepening the technical cooperation between the two automakers.

Each is a dated change we applied to a published ex-showroom price after checking it. A logged change may be a distributor's revision or our own correction coming into line with the official figure — the log says which way each one moved, and when, not why.
