Leapmotor and GWM Deliveries Rerouted via Korala After Flood Disruption

Shangrila Motors Pvt. Ltd., the official Leapmotor distributor for Nepal, and VG Impex Pvt. Ltd., the authorized importer of GWM vehicles, have both rerouted their vehicle shipments through the Korala border point in Mustang. Flash floods had temporarily disrupted the regular Rasuwagadhi corridor, leading to its closure. Customer deliveries of the Leapmotor B10 and GWM models should start soon, once vehicles clear transport and customs on this alternative route.

Leapmotor B10 and GWM's New Models in Nepal

In Leapmotor's local range, the B10 sits above the B03X at Rs 46.99 lakh and the T03 at Rs 28.99 lakh – Rs 34 lakh. It slots below the larger C10 at Rs 72 lakh. The B10 itself is now listed at Rs 54.99 lakh, following a price adjustment after the recent budget speech. This makes it Leapmotor's mid-range electric SUV in Nepal.

VG Impex has introduced the HAVAL Jolion MAX EV, unveiled at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. It is GWM's second fully electric SUV in Nepal after the ORA 5. The Jolion MAX EV was launched at an introductory price of Rs 5.999 million, attracting strong interest due to its modern design and electric powertrain. VG Impex has started advancing delivery preparations for the Ora 5 EV and Haval Jolion Max EV as customer interest in the company’s latest electric models continues to grow.

Strong Booking Interest and Faster Customs Push

The Leapmotor B10 drew strong booking interest after appearing at the NAIMA Mobility Expo and NADA Auto Show. Shangrila Motors is now working to speed up transport and customs processing via Korala to keep pace with that demand. B10 SUVs have started entering Nepal through the Korala border, ensuring timely delivery to customers who have already booked the B10.

Similarly, VG Impex reported an encouraging response from Nepali customers for both the ORA 5 and Jolion MAX EV. Customer bookings are being processed progressively, and further details about the delivery schedule will be announced soon.

Features and Technology

The electric SUV runs a 160 kW rear-wheel-drive motor paired with a 67.1 kWh battery. Leapmotor claims a driving range of up to 600 km under the CLTC cycle. It features a 180 mm ground clearance, a 14.6-inch 2.5K HD infotainment screen, a 360-degree camera with recording capability, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof, offering a blend of performance and luxury for the Nepalese market. Additionally, the B10 now includes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, enhancing its tech appeal. Leatherette seats with heating and ventilation and a panoramic sunroof with an integrated sunshade further elevate the comfort and convenience for drivers and passengers.
