Changan's premium EV sub-brand Deepal has officially launched its Nevo Q05 electric SUV in Nepal at the NADA Auto Show 2026, marking a significant addition to the brand's expanding EV lineup. The Nevo Q05, brought in by MAW Vridhi, the official distributor for Changan and Deepal vehicles in Nepal, aims to offer an 'A Class Above' experience in comfort, design, and technology.

The Nevo Q05 joins the existing Deepal family in Nepal, which already includes the S05, S07, S07L EV, L07, and E07. With this launch, Deepal strengthens its presence in the electric SUV and sedan market, targeting buyers seeking a premium, tech-loaded EV with practical range for both city and highway use. The Nevo Q05 is positioned below the S05 in Nepal, making it the most affordable model from Deepal in the country.

Simultaneously, Deepal has introduced the premium Avatr 07, priced starting at Rs. 2.20 Crore, which comes equipped with an 82.16 kWh battery and a 575 km range. This launch further expands Deepal's premium offerings in the Nepalese market.

Variants and Prices in Nepal

The Deepal Nevo Q05 is available in two variants in Nepal, with special introductory pricing valid only through the NADA Auto Show. The Max variant is priced at Rs 46.99 lakh, while the Ultra variant is available at Rs 49.99 lakh. Post-show, prices will rise to Rs 48.99 lakh for the Max and Rs 51.99 lakh for the Ultra variant. Banks at the venue are offering financing at 40 percent down payment during the show, which runs to August 30.

Design and Dimensions

Built on Changan's Digital Wing 2.0 design language, the Nevo Q05 features a modern, sharp look with a full-width LED light strip styled like a star ring, matrix LED headlights, and a closed-off grille typical of EV design today. The SUV measures 4,435 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,735 mm and a ground clearance of 185 mm, offering a spacious and practical cabin within its compact exterior. The Nevo Q05 was designed under Klaus Zyciora, formerly Head of Global Design at Volkswagen Group, and involved more than 915 design professionals from 31 countries. The company claims a drag coefficient of 0.265 Cd.

Interior and Comfort

Inside, the Nevo Q05 boasts a 14.6-inch central touchscreen paired with a 10.1-inch digital instrument cluster. The rear seat can accommodate three adults, and the backrest is adjustable between 28 and 33 degrees for added comfort. The SUV uses a nine-layer seat structure designed to balance cushioning, support, and durability. Soft-touch materials are used in frequently touched areas of the cabin. More than 67 NVH-control measures have been employed to reduce unwanted noise and vibrations.

Battery, Range and Performance

The Nevo Q05 uses a 51.9 kWh Golden Shield 2.0 LFP battery pack, capable of up to 462 km of NEDC range on a full charge, translating into a realistic real-world range of 350–400 km. The SUV supports 162 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30 to 80 percent in just 15 minutes. Power comes from a 120 kW electric motor, enabling the Nevo Q05 to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in a claimed 8.1 seconds.

Safety

On the safety front, the Nevo Q05 comes equipped with 6 airbags, a 540-degree camera system, and a Level 2 ADAS suite with more than 18 driver-assistance features, providing a comprehensive safety package in Nepal's EV market.

Our Take

With the Nevo Q05, Deepal is targeting buyers who want a well-equipped, spacious electric SUV without stepping into the S07 or E07's higher price bracket. The NADA Auto Show pricing makes it an especially attractive option right now, but buyers should factor in that prices go up once the show ends. The show window is where the cheapest entry into this car sits. If you're shopping in this segment, it's worth comparing the Nevo Q05 against the Deepal S05 and other electric SUVs currently on sale in Nepal before making a decision.
