Bajaj’s ‘Jhammmai Exchange Mela’ has started in Pokhara, targeting buyers looking to upgrade their two-wheelers ahead of the festivals. The event is organised by Bajaj’s official Pokhara dealer Ichchashakti Automobiles and will run until Asoj 9.
Exchange and valuation
Customers can bring old bikes or scooters of any company and swap them for a new Bajaj motorcycle or Chetak scooter. Experienced valuators have been brought in from outside Pokhara to assess old vehicles, with the dealer promising fair valuation plus up to Rs 7,000 extra bonus on the assessed value. Buyers also get attractive cash discounts on new units.
Citizenship-only finance
For this mela, the usual finance paperwork has been stripped back. Land ownership papers, electricity/water bills and income proof are not required. Buyers can get on-the-spot finance for up to 5 years using only a citizenship card, at minimum down payment, with the loan approval process targeted within about one hour.

On-site support
Bajaj Pokhara operator Aghoshman Budhacharya said customers will be able to choose and buy new Bajaj models easily at the venue, with company representatives present to help with bike selection, valuation and finance. For Pokhara riders planning a new bike or Chetak scooter on finance, this looks like one of the simpler ways to switch from an old two-wheeler this festive season.
