River Mobility has officially opened its first international store in Kathmandu. Located at Narayan Chaur, Naxal, the facility operates as a customer experience center for the Indian electric scooter manufacturer.
This expansion is a partnership with Vishal Group, the official distributor of River Indie in Nepal. The new site allows customers to view products, book test rides, and purchase accessories. A dedicated service center is also operational behind Paropakar School in Tadha Marg, Bhimsenthan.
The company recently showcased its River Indie electric scooter at the NAIMA Expo 2026. This model is designed for utility and features a 4 kWh battery, a 90 km/h top speed, and 55 litres of storage. It offers an IDC-certified range of 160 km on a single charge. The scooter is built with 177 mm of ground clearance and 14-inch wheels to handle varied road conditions.

The River Indie, introduced in Nepal in August with a price tag of Rs 370,000, is developed under the concept of an "SUV of scooters," suitable for both urban and rural roads. The model has gained international recognition, winning the Red Dot Design Concept Award in 2024 and the Red Dot Product Design Award in 2025. It is powered by a 6.7 kW mid-drive motor and can climb slopes of up to 18 degrees.
Additional features include telescopic suspension, tubeless tires, alloy wheels, a fully digital display, LED lighting, a projector headlamp, fast charging, riding modes, regenerative braking, reverse assist, and a combined braking system (CBS). River offers a warranty of up to eight years on the scooter.

River Mobility plans to expand its retail network to all seven provinces by March 2028. The company recently secured US$120 million in funding to support its international growth. This new Kathmandu presence marks a significant step in the brand's global strategy.
