MAW Vriddhi, the authorised distributor for Deepal electric vehicles in Nepal, is gearing up to introduce the Deepal Nevo Q05 to Nepali buyers. The Nevo Q05, which recently won the prestigious Golden A’ Design Award for its modern design and innovation, is set to make its Nepal debut at the **NADA Auto Show**. This recognition places the Nevo Q05 among globally recognized products setting new benchmarks in design and technology.

Positioning in Nepal’s EV market

The Nevo Q05 is a compact all-electric SUV aimed at the same segment as popular models such as the **BYD Atto 3. It is likely to compete on space, range, and features rather than being a budget EV. Exact pricing for Nepal is not available yet; based on its positioning as a premium compact EV, buyers should expect a price in the mid-to-upper EV bracket (likely above Rs 40 lakh), but this is only an indication and final price will depend on MAW Vriddhi’s official announcement**.

Size and exterior design

Deepal unveiled the Nevo Q05 globally at the 2025 Auto Guangzhou Show as its first global compact electric SUV. According to the announcement, the SUV measures 4,435 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, 1,600 mm in height, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase. These dimensions make it noticeably larger than small city EVs and closer to established compact crossovers.

The Nevo Q05 uses Changan’s latest Digital Wing 2.0 design language. Key exterior features include:

  • Split LED headlamps
  • Flush-fitting door handles
  • Full-width LED rear light bar
  • Active front air intake
  • A roof-mounted LiDAR unit, hinting at advanced driver-assistance technology

The design, developed by the Changan Global Design Center, combines a bold road presence with the practical needs of everyday family use.

Motor, battery and claimed driving range

Power for the Nevo Q05 comes from a front-mounted electric motor. As per the global specification, the motor produces 120 kW (around 163 hp) and 190 Nm of peak torque, with a claimed top speed of 160 km/h.

Deepal offers two battery options internationally:

  • 40.3 kWh battery with a claimed CLTC range of 405 km
  • 51.9 kWh battery with a claimed CLTC range of 506 km

These are test-cycle figures from China, so real-world range on Nepal’s hilly roads and cooler climate will likely be lower. Still, even with a realistic adjustment, the larger pack should remain competitive with other compact EVs currently available in Nepal.

What Nepali buyers should expect

Final equipment, safety features, and charging options for the Nepal-spec Nevo Q05 have not been shared yet. However, based on the global model, buyers can expect:

  • A modern interior with large screens and connected-car features
  • Fast charging capability suitable for inter-city use
  • A focus on design and technology, including the LiDAR unit on higher variants

For now, the key takeaway for Nepali customers is that MAW Vriddhi is preparing to launch the Deepal Nevo Q05 compact electric SUV in Nepal, with up to 120 kW power and claimed range of over 500 km (CLTC) on the larger battery, while exact Nepal price, variant list and launch timing will be confirmed closer to launch.
