The Jetour T2 PHEV has arrived in Nepal. This marks the first time the brand has brought a plug-in hybrid model to the country. An official launch event is scheduled for October 11.

Future Lineup

Following the T2, the smaller Jetour T1 PHEV is also slated to join the local lineup. A specific date for the T1 has not been announced. Both vehicles are part of the brand's adventure-styled T-series.

Technical Overview

International versions of the T2 i-DM use a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine paired with two electric motors. This system produces a reported 265 kW and 610 Nm of torque. The vehicle is designed to operate on electric power for daily driving, with the petrol engine engaging for longer trips or when the battery level drops to approximately 20%.

International specifications for the T2 include:

  • Combined range: Up to 1,200 km (NEDC)
  • Electric-only range: Approximately 139 km (NEDC)
  • Battery capacity: 18.4 kWh

Real-world range will likely be lower than these figures, particularly on steep terrain. The T1 PHEV is expected to feature a similar 1.5-litre turbo engine setup, with a reported combined output of 250 kW and 530 Nm.

Pricing, specific variants, and official specification sheets for the Nepal market remain unconfirmed. These details will be released during the October 11 launch. Buyers should note that plug-in hybrids require maintenance for both a petrol engine and a battery system. As this is a new segment for the brand in Nepal, after-sales support and spare parts availability should be verified with the dealer before purchase.
