SPG Automobiles Launches Jaecoo J5 Pro at Rs 47.99 Lakhs
SPG Automobiles, the authorized distributor for Omoda & Jaecoo in Nepal, has launched the all-new Jaecoo J5 Pro at NADA Auto Show 2026. The show runs at Bhrikuti Mandap from August 25 to 30.

What Else Is on Display
SPG's stall at Hall 02, Stall B5, also has the Omoda E5 and the Jaecoo J6 on show alongside the new J5 Pro. Visitors get priority test-drive bookings at the stall. There are also interactive walkthroughs covering the brand's electric and off-road SUV lineup.

GWM Nepal has announced that test drives for the HAVAL Jolion MAX EV are now available at its Thapathali showroom. The new electric SUV, recently featured at the NADA Auto Show 2026, is equipped with a 58.3 kWh battery and a 150kW motor, offering a claimed WLTP range of over 420 km. The vehicle features advanced technology including a 14.6-inch touchscreen, a comprehensive ADAS safety suite, and V2L capability. The model is currently offered at a special launch price of NPR 5,999,999 for the top variant.

Yamaha Nepal (MAW Rides) has introduced the Yamaha R2 at the 18th NADA Auto Show 2026, officially launching it on August 27. The brand also debuted a special 'Golden Jubilee Edition' to commemorate its heritage. Yamaha's 'Blue Core' technology is featured prominently in their lineup, emphasizing performance and efficiency.
SPG Automobiles Ensures Timely Delivery via Korala Route
In response to the disruption caused by recent floods at the Rasuwagadhi route, SPG Automobiles has successfully dispatched Omoda and Jaecoo vehicles via the Korala route. This alternative path ensures that deliveries across Nepal remain on schedule. The vehicles dispatched include the Omoda E5, E5 Pro, Jaecoo J5, J5 Pro, and Jaecoo J6T. The vehicles imported through the Korala border point in Mustang have completed customs clearance and are now being dispatched to dealers across the country. Deliveries to customers will begin in different parts of Nepal within the next few days.
The Omoda E5 and E5 Pro boast features like 191 mm ground clearance, electric sunroof, Level 2.5 ADAS, and ventilated, heated, and massage seats. The Jaecoo J5 and J5 Pro offer 185 mm ground clearance, panoramic moonroof, 480-liter boot space, and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen. The Jaecoo J6T stands out with a 225 mm ground clearance, panoramic sunroof, a range of 431 km, a 65.69 kWh battery, and a 135 kW motor.
Strong demand was observed during the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026 and the NADA Auto Show 2026, with vehicles now being distributed to dealerships across Nepal for customer delivery. This strategic shift to the Korala route ensures that customers who booked vehicles during recent events will not face significant delivery delays, despite ongoing issues at the Rasuwagadhi corridor. SPG Automobiles aims to prevent significant delays for customers who have already placed orders.
