Skoda is using the Kylaq’s first anniversary in India to stage a long road journey from Pune to Prague, crossing 13 countries on the way to the brand’s home city. The trip is a publicity exercise rather than a new Nepal launch, but it keeps the compact SUV in focus for buyers in markets that import from India.

In Nepal, the Skoda Kylaq is already on sale and starts at Rs 45.90 lakh, which places it below the Skoda Kushaq at Rs 54.90 lakh and the Skoda Slavia at Rs 53.90 lakh, while sitting well under the Skoda Superb at Rs 119 lakh and Skoda Karoq at Rs 130 lakh. That makes the Kylaq Skoda’s entry point in Nepal, and any India-driven visibility is relevant because pricing pressure in this segment is closely watched by Nepali buyers.

The India leg of the drive is being framed as the opening chapter of a 13-country overland run to Prague. No Nepal appearance, local debut, or new price change has been announced alongside the trip, so the story matters here mainly as a sign of how aggressively Skoda is promoting its smallest SUV in the region.

For Nepali shoppers, the practical takeaway is simple: the Kylaq is not a future model to wait for, but an existing option already positioned as the brand’s most affordable SUV here. The attention around the India journey may help keep the model visible, but it does not change the current Nepal price ladder.
