Maruti Suzuki has launched the facelifted Baleno on 2026-09-05 in India, with prices starting at 610,000 Indian rupees (ex-showroom). The updated premium hatchback introduces several new features, improved safety, and a new engine.
The Baleno retains the overall shape of the outgoing model but receives significant exterior updates. It now features revised projector LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, a new grille, and a redesigned front bumper. While the rear design remains largely unchanged, it includes a shark-fin antenna and new 16-inch alloy wheels. Maruti Suzuki also offers a new Enigmatic Teal exterior color.
Inside, the cabin maintains the existing dashboard layout with a floating infotainment screen and physical controls. The facelift introduces a dual-tone blue and black interior theme. Notable additions include front ventilated seats, a wireless charger, a Clarion sound system, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), a head-up display, and a 360-degree camera.
Safety has been significantly upgraded with the inclusion of six airbags and Level 2 ADAS. The system offers adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning, lane departure prevention, high-beam assist, and forward collision warning.

Mechanically, the facelifted Baleno is powered by a 1.2-liter three-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine, the same engine used in the Swift and Dzire. Transmission options include both manual and automatic, and a CNG variant with an automatic transmission is also available.
The updated Baleno continues to compete with models such as the Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz in the Indian premium hatchback segment. Nepal pricing and local availability have not been confirmed.
