BYD is preparing the Great Seagull, also known as Da Haiou, for a China launch in 2026. Nepal pricing and availability have not been confirmed.
The new electric hatchback will sit between the Seagull and Dolphin. It measures 4,205 mm long, 1,810 mm wide and 1,570 mm high, with a 2,650 mm wheelbase.

LiDAR-equipped cabin
A roof-mounted LiDAR sensor supports BYD’s God’s Eye B driver-assistance system. Depending on the version, buyers could get automated parking, traffic-light recognition, assisted lane changes and navigation assistance on city roads and highways.
Inside, BYD has used a large central touchscreen and a two-spoke steering wheel. A conventional instrument cluster is not included.
Motor and range
Power comes from a 95 kW (127 hp) electric motor. FinDreams LFP battery options are listed at 30 kWh and 39.2 kWh. Claimed CLTC range stands at 320–420 km, while top speed is 150 km/h.
The Great Seagull could give Nepal buyers a more spacious and technology-focused alternative to the standard Seagull if BYD eventually confirms a local introduction.
Our own record on this
Each is a dated change we applied to a published ex-showroom price after checking it. A logged change may be a distributor's revision or our own correction coming into line with the official figure — the log says which way each one moved, and when, not why.
