Bajaj Auto has introduced the Pulsar N160 S and Pulsar N160 SS in India, and both models are expected to reach Nepal soon. These bikes represent a significant leap in technology and equipment compared to previous Pulsar models and even the Dominars. The Pulsar N160 4V series, which includes the S and SS variants, is designed to offer features that are not available in its predecessors.

The bikes are powered by a 164.5cc, 4-valve, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 18.5 PS of peak power and 14.4 Nm of peak torque. They come with a 5-speed gearbox and can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in 4.5 seconds. Both versions feature an Intelligent Throttle and multiple riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport, and Off-road. Bajaj’s crawl function allows for low-speed riding without constant clutch use.
In terms of design, the models maintain a familiar look but introduce enhancements like a projector LED headlamp, gold-finish forks, and new alloy wheels. The Pulsar N160 S features a single-piece seat and grab rail, while the SS variant offers a split seat setup and a split grab rail painted in Red for added style. The SS variant also includes red highlights in the 3D Pulsar badging and red wheels for a sportier aesthetic.
The Pulsar N160 S comes equipped with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation on an LCD display, and single-channel ABS. The Pulsar N160 SS steps up with Wi-Fi connectivity, Google Maps mirroring, dual-channel ABS, traction control, and an adjustable-lever TFT display. The SS variant also includes advanced features such as auto day/night themes, a 0-60 km/h acceleration meter, tour info, lap timer, document storage, and a fifth Tour Ride Mode. It also boasts an electronic throttle with ride-by-wire technology.
Both variants share hardware like 37 mm upside-down front forks, a rear monoshock, a 300 mm front disc, and a 230 mm rear disc. The SS variant further distinguishes itself with adjustable brake and clutch levers, a toggle to turn off the headlight, and a radial rear tyre.
Nepal pricing has not been confirmed yet, but these models are expected to appeal to tech-savvy riders looking for advanced features and sporty design.
