Ather Nepal has inaugurated its 16th Experience Center in Birendranagar-12, Airport Chowk, Surkhet, expanding the brand’s electric scooter network into the Karnali region. The centre opened on Monday, aiming to make Ather’s electric scooters more accessible in the region.
What Surkhet buyers get
The Surkhet outlet showcases Ather 450 series scooters and the Ather Rizta, with staff on hand for product walk-throughs and test rides. Ather positions the 450 series as a mix of performance, smart features, and daily practicality. Notable features include Google Maps based navigation, auto hold, fall safe, reverse mode, multiple ride modes, and a responsive touchscreen dashboard. One highlight is Magic Twist, which lets the rider control scooter deceleration through the accelerator grip, reducing the need to reach for the brakes in city traffic.
Longer rides are helped by Infinite Cruise, where the rider can hold a set speed for more relaxed highway runs. Voice Interactions are also offered on the latest models, so supported functions can be operated via voice commands instead of the touchscreen.

The Ather Rizta is designed with modern families in mind, featuring a wide seat, large storage space, and safety-focused engineering. It includes traction control, tow and theft alerts, WhatsApp notifications on the dashboard, and a comfortable build, making it a strong mix of technology, convenience, and reliability.

For Karnali riders who have been traveling to other cities to experience Ather scooters, this Surkhet centre should make both buying and after-sales support simpler and closer to home.
The inauguration was chaired by Somraj Thapa, with Harshavikram Khadka as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included representatives from the automobile industry and local business leaders.
Ather Nepal has also introduced a special opening scheme valid until September 27. This includes the Ather At70 battery warranty, offering eight years or 80,000 kilometers of coverage, whichever comes first. Customers can choose one of three benefits: an extended battery warranty, zero percent interest rate on finance purchases, or an additional eight thousand rupees valuation when trading in an old vehicle for a new Ather.

With over 10 authorized service centers and 50 fast charging points across Nepal, Ather is committed to expanding its service and charging network to support the growing use of electric vehicles. The Surkhet Experience Centre is expected to enhance accessibility and after-sales service in the Karnali region.

Vaidya Energy, the official dealer for Ather in Nepal, has played a key role in this expansion. Ather's presence is already established in cities including Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Itahari, Butwal, Janakpur, Birgunj, Dharan, Birtamod, and Nepalgunj, further solidifying its footprint in the country.
Our own record on this

A logged change may be a distributor's revision or our own correction coming into line with the official figure — the log says which way each one moved, and when, not why.
