Ather Energy has officially launched its latest electric scooter, Konarc, in India at its Annual Community Day, expanding its portfolio with a model focused on range, ride comfort, and everyday practicality.
Design and practicality
Konarc appears more family-focused than the 450 series, with a conventional scooter silhouette, LED headlamp in the handlebar cowl, and a U-shaped LED DRL. At the back, it gets an LED taillamp, a wide single-piece seat, and a silver pillion grab rail with backrest for added comfort. A flat footboard and a small front storage compartment aim to improve everyday usability.
Screen, platform, and variants
The scooter is shown with a large touchscreen instrument console and is based on Ather’s EL platform, developed using data from over 26 lakh kilometers of real-world riding. The platform supports different scooter formats while reducing component complexity and improving serviceability. The Konarc is available in three variants: S 100, S 125, and S 161, with the numbers reflecting their respective claimed IDC range figures of 100 km, 125 km, and 161 km. Ather has also previewed Z variants with additional technology, while a 200 km-range version is planned for the future.
Battery range and charging
Depending on the battery pack, Konarc is expected to offer claimed range options of about 100 km, 125 km, 160 km, and up to 200 km on a single charge. The platform supports batteries from around 2 kWh to 5 kWh. Charging hardware includes a built-in 450W onboard charger, with an optional extra 450W external charger. Used together, the setup is rumoured to deliver up to 900W and target a 0–80% charge in roughly two hours.
Airwalk assist and launch status
Konarc is also likely to feature Ather’s Airwalk assist function, which uses the motor to help move the scooter while walking beside it. The scooter uses a steel unibody chassis and gets relatively long suspension travel, with 90 mm at the front and 100 mm at the rear. Its 1,352 mm wheelbase is the longest among Ather scooters, while the scooter rides on a 14-inch front wheel and 12-inch rear wheel.

The Konarc has been launched in India with prices starting at INR 1 lakh. An official Nepal availability and pricing remain unconfirmed, so buyers here will need to wait for a formal importer announcement.
