Ullens School has officially added 40 CHTC electric vans to its student transportation fleet. The school received the vehicles from Digon, a firm focused on electric mobility solutions.
Each van features a 16-seat capacity. The handover took place on Friday during a formal event attended by representatives from the school, the supplier, and manufacturer delegate Zhu Xian Song.
These electric vehicles are intended to provide a safer, quieter, and more environmentally friendly commute for students. By replacing traditional fuel-powered vehicles, the school aims to lower operational costs and reduce its carbon footprint.
Digon provides various services in the sector, including commercial electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and rental fleets. This move marks a significant shift for the school as it moves toward an electrified transport system.
"Collaborating with Digon to develop a clean and sustainable transport system is a positive step for our school," said Ullens School Principal Ekata Singh Rana.
Digon Group CEO Saurab Shrestha noted that the delivery represents a major milestone for the company and supports the broader development of the electric vehicle ecosystem in the country.
