Tata Motors has introduced the Nexon CAMO edition in India, adding to its lineup of special editions with unique features and cosmetic upgrades. The CAMO edition, priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 13.94 lakh (ex-showroom), offers new colours and additional equipment without altering the mechanical setup. This follows Tata's tradition of offering special editions like the Dark and Red Dark, each catering to different aesthetic preferences.
For Nepali buyers, the nearest reference is the **Tata Nexon already sold in Nepal at Rs 34.99 lakh to Rs 42.99 lakh. This positions it above the Tata Tiago (Rs 34.99 lakh), in the same bracket as the Tata Punch EV (Rs 37.99 lakh to Rs 39.99 lakh) and Tata Punch (Rs 39.99 lakh)**, and below Tata’s larger electric hatchbacks in our catalog.
The CAMO edition stands out with two exclusive colours — Munnar Mist and Coorg Cloud — and CAMO-themed seat detailing. It also features a 12.3-inch Harman touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, an integrated dashcam linked to the 360-degree camera system, ventilated front seats, a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, JBL nine-speaker audio, wireless connectivity, and ADAS with seven functions. Safety equipment includes six airbags and ESP.
Under the bonnet, Tata has maintained the standard line-up: a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel, and a turbocharged CNG option, with manual, AMT, and 7-speed DCA automatic choices depending on the variant.
The Dark Edition, in contrast, focuses on a darker aesthetic with an all-black exterior, black-finished alloy wheels, and a black cabin with blue accents, while the Red Dark edition offers its own distinct styling cues. Both editions retain the standard Nexon's mechanical features but offer unique visual appeal.
There is no confirmation from the Nepal side that the CAMO edition or other special editions are coming here. For now, these should be read as India-market updates that could influence future Nepal imports rather than immediate local launches.
These special editions highlight Tata's strategy to cater to diverse customer preferences by offering factory-backed customizations, potentially setting a trend for future models in Nepal.
