Global ride-hailing and delivery platform inDrive says more than 1,500 driver partners in Nepal have now completed its new Safe Driving online course.
Short online module with certificate
The training is an online module of about 20 minutes, designed so drivers can fit it into their daily schedule. Drivers who finish the course get a digital certificate from inDrive as proof of completion.
According to inDrive Nepal’s senior driver operations specialist Sunita Jimi Rai and communications manager Manjita Gurung, the course was kept short and practical to match drivers’ working hours. They say many drivers are already seeing a positive change in their daily work habits.
Focus on safety and behaviour
The module focuses on three key areas:
- On-platform safety for ride-hailing trips
- Basic road safety rules and best practices
- Use of the SOS emergency feature during critical situations
Both motorcycle and cab drivers who took part report that the course gave them useful tips on road safety and professional conduct with passengers.
For Nepali riders, the development points to more structured safety training in the app-based taxi segment, which is good news in a market where many commuters now rely on bikes and cabs for daily travel.
