Agni Group, the official distributor of Mahindra vehicles in Nepal, has announced the launch of the Mahindra Bolero Camper DC Gold pickup for the local market. According to the company, it is priced at Rs 39 lakh.

Positioning and availability

The Bolero Camper DC Gold is a double-cabin pickup aimed at business owners, contractors, and professionals who need a versatile vehicle for both goods transport and daily travel.

  • Price in Nepal: Rs 39 lakh (as per Agni Group's announcement)
  • Bookings and sales are open through authorized Mahindra showrooms across Nepal.

The model sits as a more comfortable and better-equipped option in Mahindra’s Bolero-based pickup line. It maintains the brand’s focus on durability and rough-road ability.

Engine and performance

The new Bolero Camper DC Gold retains Mahindra’s familiar diesel setup, offering higher output than the earlier version.

  • Engine: 2,523cc m2Di, 4-cylinder diesel
  • Maximum power: 59.7 kW at 3,200 rpm
  • Maximum torque: 220 Nm between 1,400–2,200 rpm

This torque band should help when carrying loads on steep gradients and unpaved roads, common in many parts of Nepal. The engine comes with a manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive, the usual layout for light commercial pickups in this segment.

Key features and comfort

Compared with the previous Bolero Camper DC sold in Nepal, the DC Gold variant adds more convenience and comfort equipment. It is easier to use as a work vehicle and a family transporter.

Notable additions include:

  • Air conditioner for better comfort in hot weather and long drives
  • Music system for in-cabin entertainment
  • Leather seats for a more premium feel and easier cleaning
  • Refreshed exterior design, with updated styling elements over the older model

These changes are meant to reduce driver fatigue and improve the experience for owners who spend long hours in the vehicle.

Suitability for Nepali conditions

The Bolero line is already known in Nepal for handling rough roads and mixed terrain. With the DC Gold, Mahindra is trying to pair that toughness with a more comfortable cabin and a modest power bump.

For buyers who need a double-cabin diesel pickup around the Rs 40 lakh price point, the Bolero Camper DC Gold offers:

  • Robust ladder-frame construction suitable for rural and semi-urban routes
  • A balance of payload capability and passenger space
  • Added comfort features that were missing in older, more basic commercial pickups

The pickup measures 4,859 mm in length, 1,700 mm in width, and 1,855 mm in height, with a 3,014 mm wheelbase. The front and rear tracks measure 1,443 mm and 1,355 mm, respectively.

Prospective customers should confirm final on-road pricing, warranty details, and the exact feature list at local Mahindra dealerships. Equipment and offers may vary by location.
