Jaguar has officially unveiled the production version of its Type 01 electric vehicle. The global debut took place at a special event in New York on October 6, 2026.
This four-door grand tourer is the first model built under the brand's new design direction. It measures 5.2 meters in length. The exterior features a long hood and a low roofline, while the traditional rear window has been replaced by a camera-based system.
Performance is driven by a three-motor setup, with one motor at the front and two at the rear. This configuration produces a combined 1,016 horsepower and 1,365 Nm of torque. The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 97 km/h in 3.1 seconds.
Energy is stored in a 120 kWh battery pack, which uses an 850-volt electrical architecture. The car offers an EPA-estimated range of up to 644 km. Using a 350 kW DC fast charger, the battery can charge from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes. The system can also add 322 km of range in 13 minutes.
The interior focuses on a minimalist design. It includes a central 7-inch interface, massage seats, and cabin air purification.
Jaguar has not announced plans for the Type 01 in the Nepali market. The vehicle is scheduled to enter production in the UK in 2027, with customer orders opening early next year. Pricing for the model starts at $172,000 in international markets.
