Dongfeng’s compact electric hatchback Nammi Box has received updated variants and a price correction in Nepal, bringing the entry E2 version below Rs 30 lakh during the NADA Auto Show 2026 and trimming its official list price thereafter.

In Dongfeng’s local EV range, the Nammi Box continues to sit as the entry hatchback, starting below the Nammi Vigo at Rs 37.99 lakh and well under the larger Dongfeng E-007 at Rs 59.99 lakh. This positions the Box as the more affordable city‑focused option for buyers looking at the brand’s line‑up.

Prices and variants

Nepal AutoMart’s own catalog data for the Nammi Box range now spans Rs 30.24 lakh to Rs 36.75 lakh across nine variants, with the following key trims:

  • Nammi Box E1: Rs 30.24 lakh
  • Nammi Box E2 Single Tone: Rs 32.49 lakh
  • Nammi Box E2 Dual Tone: Rs 32.99 lakh
  • Nammi Box E3 Single Tone 49.5 kW: Rs 34.79 lakh
  • Nammi Box E3 Dual Tone 49.5 kW: Rs 35.29 lakh
  • Nammi Box E3 Single Tone 70 kW: Rs 35.99 lakh
  • Nammi Box E3 Single Tone 50 kW: Rs 36.25 lakh
  • Nammi Box E3 Dual Tone 70 kW: Rs 36.49 lakh
  • Top Nammi Box variant: Rs 36.75 lakh

Alongside this standing price list, the updated Nammi Box E2 330 has seen a headline cut from the earlier Rs 32.49 lakh level, with its new official tag set lower and a special NADA Auto Show 2026 price that pulls it under Rs 30 lakh during the exhibition period. The Nammi Box E2 330 variant is priced at Rs. 29.99 Lakhs, and the E2 430 variant is priced at Rs. 31.99 Lakhs. A larger‑battery car with a 42.3 kWh pack is also being offered with a reduced sticker price versus earlier E3‑equivalent figures.

Additionally, the larger Nammi Vigo E2 (Nammi 06) was launched with a promotional price of Rs. 35.99 Lakhs, but the introductory offer concluded on August 26 due to high demand, setting its current market price at Rs. 37.99 Lakhs. The high-performance M-HERO 1 electric SUV made its official debut in Nepal, priced at Rs. 7 Crore. The eπ 007 electric sedan was also showcased as part of the brand's premium lineup.

Buyers choosing dual‑tone or silver colours continue to pay an extra Rs 50,000 over the base figure for the relevant variant.

Battery, motor and range

The updated Nammi Box E2 330 uses a 70 kW electric motor paired with a 31.4 kWh battery pack. The company claims a range of 330 km on the CLTC test cycle and a top speed of 140 km/h.

The higher‑capacity version gets a 42.3 kWh battery with a claimed 430 km CLTC range. Available technical information from Nepal associates this 42.3 kWh configuration with the Nammi Box E3 designation, even though it is currently being marketed at the show with E2 440 badging.

Because the same 42.3 kWh car appears under two different names (E2 440 vs E3), buyers are strongly advised to confirm in writing which badge and which price apply to the car on their quotation before finalising a booking.

Dimensions and ground clearance

The Nammi Box is a compact hatchback but is relatively wide for its class:

  • Length: 4,030 mm
  • Width: 1,810 mm
  • Height: 1,570 mm
  • Wheelbase: 2,660 mm
  • Ground clearance: about 176 mm
  • Wheels: 17‑inch alloy wheels

This footprint gives it a city‑friendly size while still targeting enough ground clearance for typical Nepali road conditions.

Exterior and interior features

On the outside, the Nammi Box highlights several design‑led features usually seen on more expensive EVs:

  • Frameless doors
  • Flush‑type door handles
  • Automatic parking system

Inside, the cabin equipment focuses on screens and comfort:

  • 5‑inch digital instrument cluster
  • 12.8‑inch central infotainment touchscreen
  • 360‑degree panoramic camera
  • Wireless phone charging pad
  • Heated and ventilated driver’s seat with memory function
  • Automatic air conditioning
  • Multiple drive modes

These features are available across the Nammi Box range, with some driver‑assistance and comfort equipment reserved for the higher‑spec variants.

Safety and driver assistance

For safety, the Nammi Box family includes:

  • Dual front airbags
  • ABS (anti‑lock braking system)
  • EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution)
  • ESC (electronic stability control)
  • Brake assist
  • Hill‑start assist

Higher variants also add advanced driver assistance (ADAS) functions, enhancing active safety beyond the basic hardware.

What buyers should watch for

  • During NADA Auto Show 2026, the Nammi Box E2 330’s show offer puts the entry EV under Rs 30 lakh, making it one of the more accessible long‑range hatchbacks on sale from a mainstream brand.
  • The 42.3 kWh car’s naming confusion (E2 440 vs E3) means buyers should pay close attention to the badge, motor output (49.5 kW vs 70 kW) and final invoice price.
  • Colour choice can change the effective price by Rs 50,000 for dual‑tone and silver units.

As of late August 2026, the Nammi Box remains Dongfeng’s most affordable EV in Nepal, with the latest E2 price revision and NADA offers narrowing the gap between entry EVs and similarly priced petrol hatchbacks for urban buyers.
