MG Majestor Debuts in Nepal with Advanced Features at Rs 2.5 Crore
JSW MG Motor India has officially launched the MG Majestor in Nepal, marking its entry into the local market with a price tag of Rs 25 million. The unveiling took place at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, courtesy of JS Automobiles, the authorized distributor of India-made MG vehicles in Nepal. This launch positions the Majestor in the same premium bracket as Nepal's established luxury SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner.
The Majestor is a full-size three-row SUV that arrives in Nepal as the new flagship internal combustion SUV in the JSW MG lineup. It features a more imposing exterior design with a large octagonal grille, split LED headlamps, and vertically stacked LED daytime running lights. The SUV's larger proportions, measuring over 5,046 mm in length with a 2,950 mm wheelbase, reinforce its flagship positioning. With a width of over 2 meters and a height of nearly 1.9 meters, it commands a strong road presence.
Under the hood, the Majestor is powered by a 2.0-liter twin-turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 215.5 PS of power and 478.5 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It offers both rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive options, designed for serious off-road use with 10 off-road driving modes, front, rear, and center differential locks, and crawl control. The SUV boasts a ground clearance of 219 mm and can wade through water up to 810 mm deep, making it suitable for Nepal's diverse terrains.
Inside, the MG Majestor offers a premium and technology-focused cabin. The dashboard features dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and driver information. Other interior highlights include a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, three-zone automatic climate control, and dual wireless charging pads. The front seats come with ventilation and massage functions, while the driver benefits from a 12-way electrically adjustable seat with memory function. A premium audio system enhances the SUV's upmarket cabin experience.
The Majestor gained attention earlier this year after reportedly towing a 406.4-tonne train, setting a Guinness World Records achievement. Its entry into the Nepali market solidifies its position as a high-end, ladder-frame SUV, not an entry-level family buy. With its blend of luxury, strong road presence, and off-road capability, the Majestor is set to compete with established models in the full-size SUV segment.
In terms of safety, the Majestor is equipped with six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and an electronic parking brake (EPB). GEO Automobiles offers a 5-year or 100,000 km warranty and 24/7 roadside assistance across Nepal, ensuring peace of mind for buyers. The MG service workshop is located in Lalitpur's Dhobighat, providing comprehensive support for the vehicle.
The MG Majestor is not just a vehicle; it represents a new ecosystem that GEO Automobiles is building in Nepal, offering a full global lineup of MG vehicles to Nepali customers.
